About Me
Bio. I was first introduced to technical drawings and their importance through my father who had his own engineering company, this was to become the foundation of my interest. My time spent at Wolverhampton University then gave me a broad understanding of each of the main areas in the construction Industry and I am now competent with and professionally trained to use 2D and 3D AutoCAD software. Whilst working for GCA (UK) Limited in my hometown of Stafford I have been responsible for domestic renovations through to steel frame general arrangements. During my time at Alstom I learnt Microstation V8 and modified and created many GIS layouts, right through to protection wiring diagrams whilst working in Control Systems Main Road. Currently I reside at Amey as a Senior Layouts engineer. Here I have gone on to utilise my 2D and 3D AutoCAD skills for the layouts of substations and switch rooms, including high voltage cabling arrangements. More recently my time is utilised creating foundation rebar designs for High voltage transformers bunds, some of which are modelled in 3D. Now that I have my passed my advanced mathematics from Wolverhampton University and my newly acquired accreditations from Autodesk I hope this will further my knowledge and career.
